It's 2017! I hope everyone's holidays were everything you wanted them to be. They always go by so fast! After taking down our Christmas decorations the house always seems so bare. I kind of like it though, a fresh slate just like the new year.
I transitioned some of our décor to winter. When I think of winter I think of white, gray, all neutrals. Also, I think of a little sparkle. Mercury glass, candles and maybe a twinkle light or two.
I am really into cotton and antlers this year!
I used the same cotton stems and antler stems that were on our dining room tree.
This pewter antler bowl is one of my favorites. The silver adds some shimmer against all of the neutrals.
Here it is again as a last minute New Year's Eve centerpiece. Dressed up with mercury glass candle holders and silver colored beads.
A quick change of the table runner and you have a neutral dining table. I used the same strand of lights from Christmas just removed the red pinecones.
And of course antlers...
Pinecones also make excellent winter décor. They are everywhere and inexpensive. Just place a few in a clear vase and you have an easy centerpiece.
Also candles, candles, and more candles. They add cozy warmth on a dreary winter day.
With a few changes and rearranging you can use some of your Christmas décor to decorate for winter! Stay warm, everyone!
